So I thought I would do a recap of 2013 which was a pretty exciting year for me...
January - Finally got the news that I am now considered to be cancer free after waiting 5 weeks after my surgery for the news. I was pretty stoked and new that I made the right decision in regards to my treatment. Before I got the news I was not quite sure what I should do.
February - Was waiting for my doctor to come back from holidays to write my other doctor a letter only to find out the surgeon wanted another doctor to write the letter. I finally got the letter written at the end of the month.
March - Met with the surgeon at the beginning of the month and got my surgery date. April 3rd. Now I had to go on a 3 week liquid diet prior to surgery to shrink my liver.
April - Surgery Month. It took me a long time to recover from the surgery because I lost so much blood but it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
May - Not much happened this month. I was just really busy with work since I started working again.
June - Started working out everyday again and was off my blood pressure medications which made me stop passing out all of the time.
July - Went to the states with Adri. Enjoyed hiking and shopping. Officially I lost 100 pounds since my highest weight in January 2013.
August - Went camping and drove with Yvonne across Canada from Thunder Bay to Edmonton.
September - Started boot camp again, celebrated my birthday and Rebecca and Ed's wedding. I got a cat who I named Sasha. I also ran my first 5K race.
October - Lost 100 pounds since surgery. Decided to get another cat, Morgan. Decided I should get my gall bladder removed. Contacted my doctor to get a ultrasound.
November - Met the surgeon who was impressed with the amount of weight I lost. Decided that I should get my gall bladder removed before Christmas holidays. Finished my boot camp class. Got in trouble with the clinic because I have lost too much weight and they tried to convince me to stop losing weight. I let them know that I want to still loose more weight. My niece Julia was born while I was in Lethbridge visiting Michelle.
December - Had my gall bladder surgery on December 6. Took a couple of days off work for that. Enjoyed Christmas with my family and went to a wedding.
So that is a recap of the year. Hopefully 2014 is a slower year with less medical problems and more time to enjoy life.
