Through this month I had my first surgery where I had to stay in the hospital, my first blood transfusion and I had to relearn how to eat. It has been a month full of learning. Before I had the surgery I thought I knew what I was getting into but I had no clue what was going to happen. I remember watching the clock tick slowly by before surgery and wondering am I making the right decision. But I still did it and I am glad that I did.
It has been a hard month but completely worth it and I even had 3 weeks off work which I have not had more then a week off work at a time since I started working here in 2006. This month I lost 28 pounds in 30 days so I am extremely happy.
Here are some pictures of me. I wore the same clothes so that I could compare the pictures. The first ones are from April 3, 2013 and the second set is from May 3, 2013. I can't see that much of a change maybe there will be more of a change next month.
Also since people are always asking me what the surgeon did when he operated here is a picture of what they did.
